The meeting with a professor from France

On April 25, 2011 the Chairman of Central Election Commission M.
Abdusalomov received the professor of International Relations at the
Havre University (France) Pierre Chabal – participant of the
international scientific-practical conference on “The Concept of the
further deepening of democratic reforms and the formation of civil
society in Uzbekistan”.
The chairman of Central Election Commission informed the foreign guest
about the organizational structure and the main activities of the
Committee and other matters related to the preparation and conduct of
elections, as well as answered to his questions. The sides exchanged
views on the electoral legislation and the system both in France and
Uzbekistan, and its significance in state building and governance.
The
meeting was attended by deputy chairman of the Committee K. Togayev,
Committee member K. Adilov and the head of Press-service N. Nurmatov.
