As Li Kwong has noted, “the purpose of the visit is to get familiarized with the experience accumulated by election commissions of your republic, along with a study of the national electoral system and electoral legislation of Uzbekistan.”

During the conversation, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Kuchkar Togayev stressed in particular the growing cooperation between the election commissions of the two countries, introduced the guests to members, structure and the activities of CEC, principles of electoral system of our republic, normative foundations of forming election commissions. The Korean officials have been informed of the peculiarities of our national electoral legislation and the amendments and addenda introduced in it, as well as the outcomes of elections to representative bodies of government held December 2009.
