Members of regional election commissions note that everything is ripe for voting. All polling stations of the country are ready for the Election Day.
“Citizens are looking forward to the coming elections,” said Yusufbek Gafurbekov, chairman of the Farg’ona election commission. “The meetings with candidates and pre-election activities confirm the rising political activity of the electorate.”
He emphasized there are all conditions created for the electorate in the Farg’ona constituency for the election to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, 6 constituencies for the elections to regional council, and 30 constituencies for the elections to municipal councils.
Over 430,000 people will take part in the election to the representative bodies in Sirdaryo region.
“253 polling stations were established here,” said Ergash Buriev, secretary at the regional election commission. “Each of them is provided with communication facilities, office equipment, polling booths.”
Candidates continue meeting with the electorate in constituencies. They are assisted by the representatives of local election commissions that provide equal opportunities for everybody.
All polling stations have electorate lists hanged out and all technical facilities as well as republican, regional and district newspapers containing all materials on the election campaign. In a word, the region does all its best to provide citizens with realization of their suffrage.
861 polling stations in Tashkent region provide voters with the opportunity of detailed acquaintance with the election programs of political parties, current election legislation, competent answers to their queries, proposals and remarks on the arrangement.
Round tables, seminars and other events were organized with the participation of chairmen, secretaries, members of district and electoral commissions to ensure publicity and transparency during elections.
“Strict observance of legislation by all participants of the elections as well as electorate’s activity play an important role during the election campaign,” stressed Ubaydulla Abdushahidov, chairman of Tashkent regional election commission.
Namangan region experiences active preparations these days. The polling station ¹ 288 located at school ¹ 37 in the Khalqobod village of Pop district was among the first to get prepared for elections. The electorate list includes over two thousand people. Some of them will take part in the election for the first time.
“All preparations and arrangements were carried out in compliance with the Election Concept developed by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” noted Davlatali Khaydarov, chairman of the election commission. “This confirms the great importance of these elections in the sociopolitical life of the society.”
The focus is given to the provision of proper conditions for voting during elections. Each polling station has polling booth and boxes for secret ballot and other attributes for the this important sociopolitical event to be conducted on high organizational level.
