THE MOVEMENT OF ENTREPRENEURS AND BUSINESS PEOPLE – THE LIBERAL-DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF UZBEKISTAN (UzLiDeP)

The Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen – Liberal-democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) was formed on November 15, 2003 at the Founding Congress of the Party.
Number of party members for August 1, 2009 – 161758  persons.
Number of primary party organizations – 7408 units.

Main objectives of the Party are:
- to become a political force opening new possibilities for a wider activity of entrepreneurs and businessmen, theoretically and practically prove their prospects, effectively protect interests of this layer of society and finally insure their successful future;
- to mobilize forces and capabilities of the Party in working out and realization of action plans together with other parties and movements which are consistent with national interests of our country and strategic prospects of its development, connected, first of all, with building a democratic state governed by the rule of law and based on principles of market economy, creation of ample opportunities for development of  civil society, bringing democratic values to the consciousness of citizens, especially, youth,;
- to insure active participation of the Party in government, its influence on common viewpoints formed in the society, implementation of political and economic reforms. In every possible way to solve vital problems of social and economic and political development of the state, to increase international prestige of Uzbekistan, to preserve peace and stability, to strengthen international and civil consent in the country. To make visible contribution to the education of youth in the spirit of respect, love and pride for the Native land, readiness in any conditions to protect and defend independence, cultural wealth, national and religious traditions and customs of the nation, respect interests of other nations and nationalities, struggle against attempts to infringe upon their interests;
- to bring into the wider public liberal-democratic ideas and values, organize and conduct work on propagation of the Party’s policy, directed on strengthening and increasing its numbers.
Advancing the party candidates committed to the ideas and values of the Party and gained voters’ confidence, statement of tasks to representatives of the Party and management of their activity in legislative and executive branches of state power.
The higher supreme body of Liberal-democratic Party of Uzbekistan is a Congress which is held not less than once in three years.
