On July 17, 2021, a meeting with the Executive Director of the Diplomatic World magazine B. Dietrich and the manager of the Diplomatic World Institute Center A. Turkstra was held at the Central Election Commission (CEC).

On July 14, the Central Election Commission signed a number of memoranda with the National TV and Radio Company, the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan, National Association of Electronic Media of Uzbekistan (NAESMI), the Zo’r TV, the Dunyo and Uzreport news agencies aiming at strengthening cooperation with the media during the presidential elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Extensive coverage of the preparatory work and the election process is under special focus.

In accordance with the decree of the Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Central Election Commission, Jaloliddin Kudratovich Usmanov was appointed press secretary, advisor to the Chairman on information policy.

A delegation headed by the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) V.I. Norov paid an official visit to Uzbekistan. A series of meetings with heads of ministries and departments are planned during the visit.

The Press Service of the Central Election Commission (CEC) plays a critical role in urgent and high-quality coverage of such an important political event of the year, as the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The second stage of training seminars is starting on July 12 and will proceed up to August 8.

Experts from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Needs Assessment Mission arrived in Uzbekistan with the purpose to assess the pre-election environment for the upcoming October 2021 Presidential elections in our country, including preparation for the elections.

On May 24, 2021 experts from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights ' Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) arrived in Uzbekistan to assess the pre-electoral situation for the upcoming presidential elections in October 2021, including preparations for the elections.

​​​​​​​The country is actively and thoroughly preparing for the upcoming Presidential elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held in October this year.

On March 16, 2021, a meeting in the format of a video dialogue took place between the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Z. Nizamhodzhaev and the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Lithuania Laura Matyoshaityte.

On March 21, 2021, an online meeting of the Chairman of the CEC Z. Nizamhodzhaev with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Latvia Kristine Berzinej took place.

On March 11, 2021, an online meeting was held between the Chairman of the CEC Z. Nizamkhodzhaev and the UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Matilda Dimovska.

On February 24, 2021, the International Center for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) held a virtual roundtable on “Strengthening Access in Registration”. The event was held on Zoom, which was attended by about 200 representatives of international organizations and electoral bodies from around the world, including Uzbekistan.

A regular meeting of the Central Election Commission took place on February 5. It was attended by members and staff of the CEC. Organizational issues were on the agenda of the meeting.

On February 3, members of the Senate, senior officials of the relevant ministries and departments, experts and representatives of the media took part in a meeting of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Judicial and Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption. The meeting was held in the format of videoconferencing on the eve of the twelfth plenary session of the Upper Chamber of the Parliament.

On January 29, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan M.Abdusalomov held online negotiations with Anthony Boyer, Senior Manager of the European and Eurasia Management Programs of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems.   

Mahmud Shukhratovich Istamov, who worked as deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission, was appointed prosecutor of the Bukhara region.
